The lapidary has expertly chiselled this statue with openwork all around from a single boulder.
Rising from an earthen perch floral and foliage carved in relief sprout in bounty with a large rooster in position to crow and scare away demons. Peering from the base are crouching fowl sheltered by the lotus flower together symbolising enlightenment and connection to origin.
