Seated Traditional Buddha

Buddha statue seated sculpture in transparent to opaque green and russet jadeite.

The carved deity is portrayed sitting in the full lotus position on a throne etched in the lotus theme.

Holding a medicine bowl and surrounded in flames accented with the use of russet tone qualities of the jadeite all symbolic of the Chinese tradition.

Reverse repeats the lotus design base and lapidary expertly used the natural colour of the stone to accent the flame motif.
